The Quelfire QWR CE Marked Fire Collars consist of a continuous pressed stainless steel flexible shell containing high performance graphite based intumescent material which reacts under the influence of heat to exert pressure on the pipe as it softens to form a carbonaceous char which provides an effective insulation plug thus preventing smoke and fire passing through to the adjoining compartment. The QWR CE Marked Fire Collar has built in fixing lugs which are used to secure it to the structure. Ensure substrate around 110mm pipe is flat and free from obstructions – if necessary make good by using Pyroplex® Intumescent Acrylic Sealant.

When the intumescent collar has been securely fitted into place any residual gaps between the intumescent collar and the substrate can be filled using Pyroplex® Intumescent Acrylic Sealant. The QWR CE Marked Fire Collar has built in fixing lugs which are used to secure it to the structure, and can be used in conjunction with QF2 Fire Protection Compound. This 110mm pipe collar will seal flammable pipes 110mm diameter and can be face fixed in a wall or ceiling structure. They are suitable for use on concrete, masonry and plasterboard partitions for up to 240 minutes.
