Conditions of Sale

Every item of equipment on the Catertrade Site has been carefully selected by our experienced staff to represent both quality and value for money and should give many years of trouble-free service if installed, operated and maintained correctly.

Please note that all equipment sold on our site is delivered direct from our suppliers and, as such they use their own carriers.

A lot of the equipment is sufficiently small and light enough to be comfortably handled by a single individual; however, some items are extremely heavy, large and awkward.

Although some delivery drivers will help in transporting goods into premises many are only contracted to deliver to the "curbside" outside the delivery address and hence will not assist in getting the goods into the premises.

It is therefore the responsibility of the customer to ensure that they have sufficient resources on-hand to accept delivery and to transport the goods into their own premises.

It is the responsibility of the customer to ensure that any goods ordered can be physically located where they are to be used. In this respect please ensure that there is sufficient access for the equipment to be moved into the desired position. Catertrade cannot be held responsible if equipment does not fit through doorways or other restrictions.

It is the responsibility of the customer to examine the packing of goods before accepting delivery.

If the packing is damaged please refuse delivery and let us know that you have done so and the reasons. In this instance we will liaise with the supplier to address the situation.

If you accept delivery it is then the responsibility of the customer to unpack the equipment and report any damage to the equipment within 24 hours of receipt other wise we will not be able to entertain any claims after this period.

All reports of damage should be notified by emailing us at shop@catertrade.co.uk with the subject "Urgent - Damaged Goods".

We will then contact the supplier and arrange for repair or replacement of the equipment.

It is the customer's responsibility to determine that any goods ordered are suitable for their particular duty and in their particular environment and, as such Catertrade cannot be held liable if any equipment ordered turns out be inappropriate.

We have made every attempt to only offer equipment that is readily available and, under normal circumstances should be delivered within 10 days of order placement. (Most items will be delivered considerably sooner than this). However on rare occasions some larger items may take longer than this to deliver

Equipment will be sent direct from the manufacturer or manufacturer's agent either by their own transport or by carrier. It will be the responsibility of the customer to accept the delivery and to make any necessary arrangements for safe transfer of the equipment to place of installation.

Once delivery is accepted it is then the responsibility of the customer to ensure that the equipment is correctly installed by tradesmen qualified in either Gas or Electrical Installation as appropriate and operated and maintained in accordance with the manufacturer's instruction manual.

If the above conditions are adhered to the equipment will then be covered by the manufacturer's warranty as described in the particular product's details.

Contract is only formed on dispatch of goods.

We reserve the right to alter any specifications or details on any product or withdraw any product without explanation or notification.

Although we may every effort to obtain the correct product images, all images must be treated as for illustration purposes only and design may differ from the delivered product.

Catertrade or it's parent company Kempsafe Limited shall not be liable for any loss of profits or goodwill or for any type of indirect, special or consequential loss (including loss or damage suffered as a result of an action brought by a third party) even if such loss was reasonably foreseeable or the Company had been advised of the possibility of the loss being incurred.

Please note this is a commercial site selling business to business and as such Distance Selling Regulations do not apply

By placing an order or orders on the Catertrade Web Site the customer accepts the above conditions

Financing

Finance Lease facilities provided by Academy Leasing Ltd. All applications for finance lease are subject to underwriting and subject to status. Completion of an application does not constitute an agreement in any form. By proceeding with a application you consent to any relevant credit searches to be carried out on the companies and individuals involved.

The rates quoted are only available to businesses trading 3 years or more.For businesses trading less than 3 years, rates will be confirmed on an individual basis.
