Being a big fan of Everest expedition books means I was looking forward to this book more than ever! I've been asked to read this book, and part of me wishes i haven't, because i will never be able to see its author in the same light i used to.

Every decision you make ends up being based not on reading the situation and following correct procedure but on how good you're going to look.Found it super inspiring and interesting to read different approaches to mindset that I haven’t come across before.

He talks about when we dread a coming event, we can be scared about it for days or weeks in advance, when in reality we only need to be scared of the moments during the event.These findings suggest that individuals with trypophobia have heightened responses to bubble aversion, even in images with no underlying scenes of illness. As each fear bubble is entered saying to ourselves “let’s go” will help to positively reframe the fear, and trigger the action required. It is the essential source of information and ideas that make sense of a world in constant transformation.

For me personally it was thoroughly enjoyable, I actually haven’t read his first book, or know much about him until I read this, which 3/4 in, led me to binge on some of his ‘SASwhodareswins’ tv series.It's why in life, there's always some b*stard nipping at your fin, trying it on, trying to provoke and drag you down to their level. Then they would give themselves permission to not experience fear until that exact moment they step into the fear bubble. Being mindful of enemies trying to belittle, but also of the people who are trying to set you up to fail. I like how simple he makes the steps towards changing this, showing as he does throughout the book the benefit of a positive mindset.His no excuses mantra and his openness to share his own story and struggles makes this a great read. Accept your thoughts as they come and go, but you don’t have to believe and act on your negative thoughts. I think a lot of people will take those concepts and be able to apply them easily and successfully to their lives.
