Description

Ernest Drake, editor Dugald Steer, illustrators Helen Ward, Wayne Anderson, Nghiem Ta, Chris Forsey, A. Especially amusing are "Finding, Hatching, and Raising a Dragon" and the explanation of what to do for a person who's been hypnotized by a dragon. They're just so much fun - kind of like pull-outs/pop-up/puppet books all in one, and aimed for the older reader.

However while these are authored by Dugald Steer, other than Monsterology: The Complete Book of Fabulous Beasts, [5] they do not have anything to do with Dragonology or Dr. There are sealed envelopes which you can open to find letters from the author or even magical spells. It's got some funny bits, and it's set up just like a kids' book about dogs or other animals, so that makes it fun.The cover may have some limited signs of wear but the pages are clean, intact and the spine remains undamaged. Books in the series are credited to fictional authors such as Dr Ernest Drake, a member of the Secret and Ancient Society of Dragonologists, and the author of the series' first book, Dragonology: The Complete Book of Dragons. For anyone interested in writing about or drawing dragons, it proves invaluable, with it's wealth of high-quality artwork and descriptions on the creatures. A person who has been hypnotised by a dragon should be made to do a large number of complicated mathematical sums.

All books on dragons, wizards, or suchlike should be confiscated, and books on stimulating topics---politics, economic theory, the history of benzene in the manufacturing industries, etc---should be substituted. Helen Ward (Illustrator) Helen Ward trained at Brighton School of Art, under the direction of well-known children's illustrators such as Raymond Briggs, Justin Todd and Chris McEwan. The Ology World series are beautifully illustrated fantasy books presented like they were encyclopedias with letters and flaps and folds galore. The series later expanded to include figures and models, a strategic board game, card game, and a video game for the Nintendo DS. But if you're willing to let go of the resentment at that, or if you just read it for the fun of it, it's great.By using the Web site, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by the Terms and Conditions. The products are published in the United States and Canada by Candlewick Press and in the United Kingdom by Templar Publishing. For true believers only, a lavishly illustrated reproduction of a legendary volume by the worlds most distinguished dragonologist. Very clean dark red background hardback binding with light wear to boards' corners - with colour roundel of dragon on front board and black lined picture of dragon. This one is more for the younger readers, but it still contains a booklet that features some of the information provided in the other books of this series.

Ernest Drake on the dragons of the world, their biology, behavior, and history of their interactions with humans. And the way older folk (who, let's admit it, never really gave up on that dragon cuneiform anyway, now did they? For true believers only, a lavishly illustrated reproduction of a legendary volume by the world's most distinguished dragonologist.

I liked this book all right at the time, and I got it out and looked through it a bit before adding it to Goodreads, and I liked it all right now.The series first launched in 2003 the United States and Canada by Candlewick Press and in the United Kingdom by Templar Publishing. The front cover has a beautiful dragon embossed in metallic red that shimmers when the light hits it (I've tried to show that in one of the pictures below but it's really hard to capture in a photo) and it's even embedded with three small green gemstones.
