I liked this book all right at the time, and I got it out and looked through it a bit before adding it to Goodreads, and I liked it all right now.The series first launched in 2003 the United States and Canada by Candlewick Press and in the United Kingdom by Templar Publishing. The front cover has a beautiful dragon embossed in metallic red that shimmers when the light hits it (I've tried to show that in one of the pictures below but it's really hard to capture in a photo) and it's even embedded with three small green gemstones.
