About this deal

An absolutely beautiful rounded out fragrance it has the original ADG sea notes that makes it aquatic through the life of the fragrance. The great citrus, aquatic and woody opening turns into a common woody dry-down with distant aquatic and citrus notes that do not appear to be an EDP concentration. I wouldn’t recommend it for working indoors as i underestimated how strong it was (a couple sprays to the wrist was enough to choke people out). I've worn Jaipur off an on since it was introduced in 1997, Hawas and Night Select the past year, but all three are perfectly acceptable scents for most any purpose, so take your pick. This is a good pleasant scent that would serve a youthful man well on a summer night date, or as a signature scent.

It has everything I love about the original: the aquatic clarity, the aromatic edge, the citrus is now fruity instead of floral. You can change your choices at any time by visiting Cookie preferences, as described in the Cookie notice. The opening yeah, but the dry down definitely gets rid of the sweetness to leave woods and aquatic notes.I don't get people saying it is overly sweet since I have actually had the experience of smelling fragrances much sweeter than this so this isn't anything overly sweet.

The new ACQUA DI GIÒ ABSOLU celebrates a vital, natural sensuality through the eyes of photographer Matthew Brookes and film director François Rousseau. It's not just the marine salt that puts me off; there is something seriously off-putting hidden underneath that sweet apple fruity scent. One thing I remembered when wearing it to work years ago, was the amount of compliments I received but I never understood it. Initially, this smells like the original Acqua di Gio with the Invictus DNA mixed in - watery, citrusy, and marine, but also sweet and youthful. Giorgio Armani Acqua Di Gio Profumo is a rich woodier version of the classic Armani Fragrance for men, Acqua di Gio EDT.

Ultimately, I think a lot of the hate this fragrance gets is due to it having the ADG name while bearing little resemblance. light woods, a bit of amber and a sweetness mixed with intimate spices really make for a pleasant and versatile scent.

For whatever reason, I later decided to give this fragrance another chance, and I liked it a lot more when I sprayed it on my skin rather than paper. Shortly after the citrus notes start to fade, during they dry down there's a point where it smells almost exactly, like (save for soft touches of wood) how Adg OG used to smell when it was first launched. To my nose, it does not resembalce the original ADG, yet people around me asked If i wore ADG the original when i wore this.

But, I also don’t see how anyone can dislike this, unless their noses really do just pick up notes that much differently. I have a bottle of Armaf Hunter Intense and it smells almost the same to my untrained nose but the Armaf one is less sickening.

You know, walked like Frankenstein to prevent shoe creasing, kept his airpods in during class, and of course oversprayed cologne all the time. I keep trying it on paper and skin, I've waited for the far dry down, it's still just too sweet and generic. As this is not a mass appealing fragrance I find it very unique, you'll probably be the only one wearing it and I somehow find a connection or parallels between Absolu Instinct and 40 Knots by Xerjoff. Taking in account that this is a ADG flanker it has amazing performance (8+ on my skin) and great projection (arm length). That being said, I think a decent way to describe this is "ADG with lots of fruity shower gel freshness added".At the top of the ACQUA DI GIÒ ABSOLU fragrance is a natural, wooden cap made from ash (Fraxinus), which is derived from sustainable production, then lacquered and engraved with the iconic Giorgio Armani monogram. It's nice enough, but very generic, though it's a definite improvement over Acqua di Gio, which comes across to me as an astrigent, sour scent. Acqua di Gio Absolu celebrates the fusion of water and wood, an expression of a man's connection with nature, and the liberation of his inner strength and freedom. However, If you want something better than the above in quality scent profile, quality development over time, and staying power, this is the best I have smelled out of the many, many similar profiles. The longevity, projection and sillage are all well above average with me clocking in about 10hrs in longevity.
