And it's a pace--and an attitude--that doesn't let up, from the jumpy opening bars of "Henrietta" to the groupie-reminiscing of "Ole Black'n'Blue Eyes". The band toured the record internationally, playing shows in Europe, the United States and Japan, and won the 2007 BRIT Award for Best British Breakthrough Act.

Five songs were released as singles; " Henrietta", " Chelsea Dagger", " Whistle for the Choir", " Baby Fratelli" and " Ole Black 'n' Blue Eyes". The band was eventually signed to Island Records and the album was released under its UK subsidiary, Fallout Records. A Japanese version of Costello Music was released on 21 February 2007 containing two tracks unavailable on other versions: "Dirty Barry Stole the Bluebird" – a B-side of the "Chelsea Dagger" single, and "Cigarello" from the Flathead EP. No, it's okay though, what I did like was the cover art, and I just may get another different album in the future. Glaswegian indie sensations the Fratellis finally release their anticipated debut album, Costello Music.Highly anticipated debut album from Glaswegian Indie sensations Comprising of singer Jon, drummer Mince and Barry on bass (and shouting), The Fratellis mix up a brilliant concoction of 70's glam, 60's songwriting and a pinch of Punk. Costello Music includes the hit singles Chelsea Dagger and Henrietta, as well as tracks form their limited edition eponymous EP, with tracks like the live favourite Creepin' up the Backstairs.Costello Music tears along with the energy and cheekiness of early Supergrass, vocals that are part-Bolan part-Doherty and a unpretentious love of all things pop. They opened for The Who at the BBC Electric Proms in October 2006, and in December they supported Kasabian on their UK tour before playing 10 dates by themselves in February and March 2007. Rather than inject their songs with complex chords, or steep their lyrics with their political and social agendas, this Glasgow trio have instead focussed on writing 13 songs that are pure, unabashed entertainment. Naturally "Henrietta" would be a storming opening for any album, but the pace and energy is maintained through the first half.
