The Splatter Western series has been nothing if not unpredictable to date, with entries boasting cosmic horror, poetry and werewolves at different times. ‘Human Shaped Fiends’ is possibly the most unusual offering to date. It also happens to be one of the series best. By exploring these topics in a sensitive yet engaging way, Morrison offers readers a chance for liberation from within themselves through self-reflection that allows them to better understand who they are and what drives them. Raw and Honest Writing Style First off, full disclosure. I am a huge Chandler Morrison fan, I have been since I got introduced to him by Jeff Burke after the Bizzaro-Con and Deadite fiasco over a rather spicy reading and reenactment of an especially repellent sequence in the deliciously depraved book Dead Inside ( You know the one ) they proceed to hang out quite a lot. the mc is obviously very disgruntled and grossed out by the fact that he’s actually relating to another human being and to his absolute horror, he actually starts to like her, in his own sociopathic way. Providing readers with an intimate look into the depths of human emotion, Chandler Morrison’s novel effectively communicates its powerful message about inner turmoil, particularly in regards to the prevalence of mental health issues; according to the National Alliance on Mental Illness, nearly 1 in 5 adults in the United States experience mental illness each year.

The characters around her, such as her best friend CJ and boyfriend Gavrila, provide support during difficult times but also serve as a reminder that sometimes even those closest cannot fully understand or relate to our innermost feelings.

LOS ANGELES, 1854. Felipe Alvitre and a band of teenage outlaws set out on a brutal, seemingly random killing spree across the San Gabriel Valley, igniting the ire of the Los Angeles citizens. Sheriff James Barton wrestles with a rapidly escalating crime rate and a populace that demands more from their corrupt, do-nothing legal system as the bodies continue to pile up. The crimes of the young Alvitre gang become symbolic of a greater frustration, and the sheriff faces mounting pressure to bring the outlaws to justice. His greatest battle, however, comes from within, and his responsibilities soon play second fiddle to his struggles with addiction and his toxic, unrequited love for a mysterious prostitute. The hospital is quiet at night. Television gives the impression that large medical facilities are always bustling with frantic activity. That’s either a blatant untruth, concocted for the sake of dramatic set pieces, or Preston Druse Charity Hospital is an anomaly to which that particular rule does not apply. I don’t know. I don’t care. All I care about is the fact that thishospital, come nightfall, lowers its voice to a hushed murmur, permeated by the barely noticeable chirps of uncaring vitality monitors, the sparse staff’s whispered conversations, and the occasional steady sighs of a breathing machine. The halls are all but empty, excepting a few nurses’ stations and, sometimes, a skulking doctor frowning down at a clipboard. Listen, I say, looking at my watch, a purely-for-show gesture since I already know what time it is, alwaysknow what time it is. I have to get to work. You should probably go. The novel also examines how individuals respond to trauma, grief, and other intense emotional states by looking at their coping mechanisms. James Barton is Sheriff in crime-ridden Los Angeles. Incidents of violence are escalating and the Sheriff has little, if any control over the population as his various addictions, the result of a troubled past and an unrequited love with a local prostitute, render him both unwilling and unable to take action.

In this novel, readers are presented with a complex story of human struggle and the power of redemption. Chandler Morrison’s Dead Inside is an exploration into the inner depths of human suffering, fear and pain. It is clear from reading this book that Chandler Morrison has crafted an insightful look into the complex world of human emotions and how those can both empower and cripple us in equal measure. Mind you, I did read “WOOM” by Duncan Ralston and thought that was another insane, creepy, disgusting kind of book but my goodness, “Dead Inside” took it to levels I never thought could be possible. The actual story here isn’t bad at all but again, I doubt this would ever happen in real life so remember, if you go along for this ride and throw common sense and reality out the window, it’s better enjoyed that way.Warning – This review has been written for a rather odd book, and the content of this review reflects that and, as such, should not be read by anyone. Morrison’s focus on personal growth and transformation through introspection allows for a deep exploration of characters, their relationships, and motivations. The book’s narrative style is analytical and insightful but also engaging, making it accessible to a wide range of readers regardless of their enjoyment level. Are there any other books by Chandler Morrison?

Song, “ If You Want Blood, (You’ve Got It!) you also get rape, necrophilia, baby eating, incest, lots of smoking and all of the other Grand Guignol that we the fans love him for and his critics absolutely loathe. Debbie: Right? I'd 100% get Reign in Blood by Slayer as my first vinyl since they're my all-time favorite band! What was your first vinyl? That's so awesome you collect them and thanks for the kind words about my taste in metal, that means a lot to hear :-D LoL that is amazing with what went down with Mayhem and that you're okay, I also love them and yeah, I feel the older they get, the better/more refined they are, especially live. I saw Obituary a few years ago and they were incredible live. It's just so cool and goes to show, it doesn't matter how old you are, metal will keep us all young forever \m/Let’s wrap it up with my trademark closing paragraph, complete with social media friendly quotable line. Well currently, I'm a meta-parody of myself, and I think it would be funnier if I was a chain smoking review who…" If I ever get "The Clap" you best believe I am gonna be trying to smell that shit. I hope I never do but weirder thing have happened. So yeah I am quite shooketh to say the least. And after every twisted thing I just read what I'm the most surprised by, is the 𝐕𝐄𝐑𝐘 𝐃𝐀𝐑𝐊 𝐇𝐔𝐌𝐎𝐑 the book had. I was ready for being disturbed or grossed out but i was not prepared to be amused, and by that i do mean me laughing my ass off at how absurdly funny some of the quotes were. And I have No shame whatsoever admitting this.

The book examines the idea of connecting with something greater than oneself through religious symbolism, such as prayer and meditation. Dead Inside has not been adapted into either film or television, however it is well-regarded as an enjoyable and thought-provoking book. the least you could do is pretend to enjoy it. I give damn good head, so if you didn’t get anything out of that, you’re either gay or, or ... I don’t know, not right."
