i wish i was connected to a blood pressure machine when i read the last part, hell i wish i was hooked up to one the entire book. this book and the absolute carnage it caused me. nobody could compare. nobody could play with my emotions the way jenna hastings did. i think i need to visit a rage room after this book, and its only the first one in the series astaghfirullah 🙂 i dont even know where to start, i think someone needs to slap me maybe just so i can get some sense of all this LMFAO. let’s talk about tom for a sec bc that man had me feeling all soft n shi. he was mags safety net and treated her like the queen she is. he was so caring, attentive, respectful and just so mature. on that note, JUSTICE FOR TOM!! he deserved so much better. he’s a walking green flag, give this man his own book NOW. It’s made me FEEL emotions I never knew I had until now. Their pain was my pain. Their love was my love. Their happiness was my happiest moment. They broke, I cried. Yeah, it’s intense but it hurts so good. But again, there wasn‘t enough of Daisy and Christian. For example; Daisy can drive! HELLO? Why wasn‘t that mentioned? The first book was so deep and so raw regarding the two of them so this was disappointing. reading this book was like watching a car crash occur multiple times but never being able to fully look away. the characters in this book or so incredibly flawed. it is like this constant push and pull whether or not you should be angry with them or sympathize with them. and in the end my heart just hurt for some and wanted to murder the rest 🔪
i feel like the rest of the side characters were kind copy and pasted besides my bbs, bridgette who called everyone out and henry one of mags best friends. either way, their entire friend group was so chaotic it reminded me sm of gossip girl! I’m having a hard time deciding what to do with this. I get that the universe bears her name and so she’s just the main character (and then I guess that means I just hate her and probably these books aren’t for me) but also, I think the author is really doing readers dirty. Like it was just so extra and it kept my attention all the damn time to the point where I hated the fact that I had to part with the book to sleep. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗰𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘀 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗸𝗲𝗽𝘁 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝘆𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗻 𝗮 𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗽 𝗶𝗻 𝗺𝘆 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗱. blowjob. ive never been happier to have hated on a character since the start, i mean i was calling him blowjob as a joke, but i think all those blowjobs and all that cocaine really did mess up his brain... at first, i thought maybe he was too drunk to consent or something, but when he said he wanted to. boy oh boy did it start making sense. especially at the end. i feel like magnolia right now. it was so easy to scream internally at her to leave him and dump his ass lol, but they were connected. joined at the hip. codependant. each others everything. until blowjob ruined it ofc lol. Quite right, quite right," I concede. "Say, how is that small island your family owns off the coast of Grenada-"This book didn’t give us anything new from MP2, and the plot was pretty much nonexistent. The first 80% was extremely drawn out, with all the action in the last 20%. The mafia bits felt thrown in and strung together to provide a reason for the hit, but it could have been executed better. Oh boy. I'm not even sure where to begin. This was one of my most anticipated releases and it's very upsetting when something doesn't live up to expectations. Truthfully, I started to get a bit nervous about this book once the "promo" for it started, but we will get there. Let's just dive in. Bear with me this is my first time writing a review. I had A LOT to say and this was the only format I could thing to get it all out. Also, I hope she confirms if Christian is going to be Daisy‘s endgame otherwise I‘ll just give up on the series now. Unfortunately not 5 stars but let‘s rename it to Julian Haites and Magnolia Parks: The Great Undoing.
