Just south of Land’s End, you’ll find the beautiful sandy cove of Nanjizal. This little cove is definitely Between July and September 1st, the beach here is not dog friendly. Situated just above the beach is the Kynance Cove Beach Cafe which has operated there for nearly 100 years. It’s an off-grid café but they do sell a cream tea!

For the few who live here, life continues as it once did – and they take to the open seas in their fishing boats. It’s heartening to see that tiny communities like this still exist. Visit nearby: For locally sourced produce, take lunchtime refuge at Kynance Cove Café, found just above the beach. The eco-friendly café is a perfect spot to taste warm Cornish pasties and home-made cakes. This secret paradise of soft white sand and lapping waves can be found at Bosahan Cove, perched on the Helford River’s woodland banks. While access is limited, the beach’s remote location means you may be graced with a quiet seaside spot of your own.

Reverend Charles Alexander Johns in his book A Week at the Lizard (1848) wrote: “Mullion Cove contains a mill, some fish cellars, and a few humble cottages... Making our way to the beach between the seine-boats, hauled up beyond the reach of the surf, and in the fishing-season having all their stores on board for instant use, we find ourselves in one of the most romantic coves on the coast.” Parking:Available in the farm car park at the end of the signposted “Rose Valley”, or in the Pendeen Watch car park about a mile east As well as having a fascinating history Polperro is a wonderful place for photography. Early in the morning, particularly in winter the view from the coast path to the east side of the harbour is brilliant. Arguably, Penberth is the most unspoilt cove and fishing village in Cornwall. Handed to the National Trust in 1957, its old-world character and charm has been meticulously preserved.

Access to Porth Joke is fairly limited with a small, National Trust car park being at least a 15-minute walk away. Due to this, this secluded beach is not as popular as others and often overlooked. walk from here to Sennen Cove – which is more of a surfing spot, and a little more popular. On clear Dog-friendly?Dogs are welcome to the beach excluding July and August between 10am and 6pm, when a seasonal ban is in place. You can use this interactive map to look for other accommodations in Cornwall. Don’t forget to use the filters so you can remove unwanted properties. A popular bodyboarding beach, it is very close to the town, shops, an arcade and restaurants/pubs. There are three pubs within walking distance of the beach which also has a harbour wall.
