But I have to say to you that any time of the year, every single day of the year, every month of the year is the perfect time to practice gratitude, because nothing, and I promise you, nothing will change your life faster than gratitude. So if you do some gratitude today, your life will be different by the weekend I promise you. So, as you’re doing gratitude, I would do it until you feel relief, or you feel a softening in your heart. I used to do it until I had tears in my eyes. And so sometimes it would be 5… it would only take 5 things to be grateful for and I would have a complete meltdown. And then sometimes it would take 25 so it just depends but I know that when… I knew that when I had tears in my eyes, when I felt my heart absolutely melt, and you really feel it and you’ll know what I mean when you do this… then you know you’ve changed your frequency. And your day ahead is going to be completely different from what it would’ve been. So this is the incredible thing about gratitude. It’s so amazing and it’s the reason why it’s one of the powerful processes in The Secret and I have never stopped using it. If something goes wrong in my life, I immediately start doing gratitude. I'm aware of the fact that there's not much to work with, but it doesn't hurt to give your best to create a book and not a Tumblr post. The way the entire book is presented, the repetitive lectures interspersed with simplistic testimonies, the mediocre writing that made me feel like a native English speaker, the other sources the author mentions... or dead writers that can't state whether their quotes, those loose sentences she uses as evidence, prove they were actually using 'the secret' or not. I read The Secret an unprecedented three times in 2020. During a global pandemic, I found myself stressed due to uncertainty. Other than looking pretty cool, any journal could serve the same purpose of writing your Gratitude items, but **possibly** having this journal could provide some format and discipline for someone who needs it or who wants something visibly connected with "The Secret."
