About this deal

When building a system, and especially one designed for multiplayer gaming, having the option to save on a GPU and instead put that money into a faster monitor could mean the difference between Gold and Diamond ranks next season (or between 60Hz and 240Hz, depending on the monitor model). At 1080p, the Ryzen 5 5600G was just about able to hit the 165Hz/165fps threshold in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, a mark that could easily be exceeded with just one or two more in-game settings turned down. In Hitman 2 the 5600G is much slower than the 5600X once again, trailing by 19% with an average of 122 fps opposed to 150 fps for the 5600X. The 5600G is similar to the 3700X when it comes to high-end gaming performance, and while that's not a terrible result, it's not exactly what we've come to expect from the Zen 3 architecture. Interestingly, the single thread performance is down on the 5600X by a 7% margin which isn't massive, but it's more significant than what we saw in the multi-thread test and is comparable to the 5700G vs 5800X margin. The 5600G only matched the Ryzen 7 3700X when testing with Watch Dogs Legion, though that did mean it also matched the 5700G. It was 12% slower than the 5600X and just 8% faster than the older Ryzen 5 3600.

The R7 5700G then really is a product for OEM system builders. They get to advertise their compact and affordable PCs as serious gaming systems featuring 8 cores of Ryzen 7 power, while also affording them the luxury of slapping on a Radeon graphics logo, so you know it's ready for Cyberpunk 2077 or any other modern game that it can't actually run at a satisfactory level, but of course that doesn't mater, if just has to give the impression that it's a serious gaming machine. You can easily upgrade memory capacity and storage in these HP Pavilion pre-builts, but that’s about it. For the addition of discrete GPU, it’ll take more work and money. Volt Case Dimensions: (W) 200 x (H) 385 x (L) 350mmVolt Case Dimensions: (W) 200 x (H) 385 x (L) 350mm It's the same with Adobe Photoshop which is another lightly threaded application that typically only leans on 1 or 2 cores heavily. Therefore we're looking at comparable performance between not just the 5600G and 5700G, but also the new Core i5-11400F.

Moving on to the 7-zip file manager compression test we find that the 5600G is only comparable to the Core i5-11400F making it 17% slower than the 5600X, which is a similar margin to that seen between the 5700G and 5800X, suggesting that the L3 cache capacity plays a crucial role here. Finally, we come to the bread and butter of Ryzen's G line of chips over the past few years: integrated graphics performance. In this arena, AMD has proven it has no equal, and Intel's closest competition to the Ryzen 5 5600G, the Core i5-11600K, is regularly doubled here in performance by both the 5600G and 5700G chips. And while the Ryzen 7 5700G does generally outpace the Ryzen 5 5600G by a decent margin, it's not so substantial that anyone except people running benchmarks would notice under most circumstances.

We have carefully selected workstation computers specifically for specialist programs & Industries, so you can boost your computer’s processing and graphic performance to create, render and load without any limits. We understand how extensive performance-affecting workloads such as CAD, video rendering and virtual simulations can massively increase the performance demand on your desktop computer’s processor and graphics card. Our workstation computer configurators are tailored to help you customise your desktop PC to whatever your work requires. See our wide range of workstation computers built for intensive workloads. Then we want to see how well it works with the Vega iGPU, and for this we'll be comparing it against the Ryzen 5 3400G, Ryzen 7 5700G and Core i7-11700, all using integrated graphics.

With the right selection of games though, the 5600G can look quite good – games like CS:GO, League of Legends, Dota 2, Fortnite and F1 2020, for example. So as long as you go into this with the right expectations, gaming can be enjoyable with the 5600G standalone. With Your choice of 2666MHz RAM, Storage and Cooling options, you can configure your new PC in exactly the way you want. Nvidia drivers haven't been the best either. At least at this point it's mostly mature. Unfortunately, bleeding edge hardware and Linux means a bit of pain. With a CPU boost speed of 3.9GHz and a graphics core frequency 1900mhz at the heart of the Volt system, you won't miss a beat of the action, whether that's in Shooters, RPG's or MOBA's. In terms of specifications, it's pretty straightforward. The 5600G is a 6-core/12-thread part, though it retains the same 16MB L3 cache, which is half that of the 5600X. Then for the iGPU, the Vega graphics are downgraded from 8 CUs to 7, and the frequency has been reduced by 5%, down to 1.9 GHz, so overall we expect a ~10% drop in iGPU performance. The GPU shortage appears to be improving ever so slowly, thanks in part to the collapse of mining profitability and China shutting down mining firms, but we expect it to persist to some extent over the next several months. If the 5600G slots in well under its X-equipped counterpart, the Ryzen 5 5600X, it could be a tough chip to beat. However, that isn't an easy task given the tradeoffs associated with Cezanne's monolithic die design, which differs significantly from the chiplet-based Ryzen 5000 chips. It's worth mentioning that AMD is positioning the 5000-G series as flexible, scalable and accessible APUs for PC enthusiasts, said to deliver exceptional price to performance for gaming focused PCs. They even go as far as to say "incredible gaming on Radeon IGP." So make no mistake, AMD is pushing the 5600G and 5700G as gaming-focused products.

We expect that most people considering this PC plan to pair the 5700G with a discrete GPU later, to make the most out of having a higher-end processor. If you fall into this group, be aware that like the other HP Pavilion models on this list, this PC uses a proprietary motherboard and power supply. To support a discrete GPU, you’ll have to make some part swaps—investing more money into the system—to accommodate a beefier graphics card. Can you upgrade these pre-builts? Prebuilt and configured. Just turn it on and away you go! (Providing you have an Operating System installed) Mainboard B450 đáp ứng tốt mọi nhu cầu nâng cấp của bạn. Có các tùy chọn nâng cấp lên Mainboard cao hơn.Of the big PC vendors like HP, Lenovo, and Dell, HP dominates the offerings. Whether it’s these basic Pavilion models or higher-end lines where the Ryzen APUs get paired with discrete GPUs from the get-go, HP seems to be the main company that’s gone all in on Cezanne. This system can be pre-installed with a Genuine Microsoft Windows 10 operating system. Please select the operating system you require for your PC from the drop down box above and it will be supplied and installed for you prior to shipment. Moving on to Horizon Zero Dawn, we find that the 5600G is comparable to the Core i5-10400F and not a great deal faster than the older Ryzen 7 3700X. When compared to the 5700G, it was just 3% slower and 9% slower than the 5600X. It's definitely a mixed bag. I learned this using an RX 5700XT at release. I had to run beta/alpha kernels for the first 6 months or so.. Ubuntu 20.04 was really the first release with decent in the box support and even then better with later kernels. So it's not too surprising.
