About this deal

It's nice to see you too, Hannah." I mumbled, given the fact her hair was all up in my face and mouth.

Okay, I have to confess that about 40% in I had to take a peek at the epilogue cuz I need the assurance that there’s truly an and Raven. LOL! Ultimately, this book is not perfect, and if I think too long about it, it had its issues and I keep finding more... but this was the second billionaire romance that I have read recently and I absolutely enjoyed the shit out of it! I had a great time reading it as it was a perfect escape to relax and get out of your head. The H…so beta he makes doodlebugs look like bugs of steel. His grandmother tells him to marry so marry he does. OW slithers out so in comes the heroine. Vows celibacy and devotion to the h only to have OW show up with tears in her eyes so he takes her to dinner….THE NIGHT AFTER THE WEDDING! He is faithful, but the evil OW has his number. He's a nice guy in general, and thinks he loves the heroine. Bizarre turnaround at the end and after all the sister's machinations come out he declares he never ever loved her so what's the deal? Am I the only one who saw that the sister was a narcissist from like chapter 2? How did everyone else miss that? If she is really that great an actress why isn’t she winning more awards? 😂

Check-In

Better sweet memories wasn't the best but but at least it had a plot it had an essence it had something to focus on other than the Bad Romance but this one it was bad romance mixed with over the top unnecessary drama literally the soul plot of this book was other woman drama and the other woman being her sister and it didn't help that the main male character was an absolute dumbass

the 4th red flag was him being in love with her sister all of those five past years and then suddenly fall in love with her a couple chapters into the book and saying it has always been her 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️ From the author of The Wrong Bride and Forever After All comes an angsty and steamy marriage of convenience romance featuring a billionaire boss and his secretary. When Luca Windsor’s secretary quits her job shortly after he’s forced into an unwanted engagement arranged by his family, he sets out to solve both problems…. by secretly marrying his secretary instead. The rules are simple:1. Don’t fall in love2. Keep their marriage a secret at work3. Share a bed every nightIt was meant to be a straightforward and mutually beneficial deal, but with each day that passes, it becomes clearer to Luca that the only thing Valentina wants is the one thing he can never do.Letting her go. The Temporary Wife (The Windsors, #2) by Catharina Maura – eBook Details this read had so much potential. i liked the characters at first, the conflicts, the idea of the plot. but by the time i reached the 60% mark, i was skimming lines: the repetitiveness was killing me. because instead of building a strong relationship between the protagonists, the author chose to make their love story frustratingly shallow.Oh how I wish our FMC had another love interest that made the MMC fight a little hard for her. Our FMC was too available and focused on him. She needed another man to sweep her away to fancy dinners to make her feel special and show her how to be treated. There is so much ANGST in this book... like to the extreme that it's mentioned as a "trigger warning" at the start of the book. I am pretty sure this is one of the factors that influenced why I loved this so much as I could physically feel the tension and emotional baggage these characters have and seeing how they dealt with their soap opera ridiculous life was predictable but entertaining.
