About this deal

Now we end the list with the low point of the christmas battleforces. The Stromdrakes and Annihilators are both tempting, but there are much better options in the Stormcast range than the other models on this list. Despite the savings I’d give this one a miss, buy the decent units separately and spend the remaining money on more competitive models. There are loads more rules included too, with another warscroll battalion, the Moon-biter Squigalanche (complete with points values for using them in matched play), Jaws of Mork command abilities and more. Cool, huh? But I can tell you a way of saving even more money by purchasing these at 25% off the recommended retail price! Just visit SCN Hobby World and sign up to their mailing list for 25% off all GW products and 20% Warlord Games products. The Holiday Battleforce Boxes are always a good time of year for Warhammer fans. This year, GW is releasing 7 boxes for Age of Sigmar and, quite frankly, we’d be pleased if we got any of these under our Christmas Tree. However, there are some boxes we’d be more excited to see than other. We do have favorites — and they aren’t based on the current win/loss ratio from the Metawatch. Based purely on which ones get us most excited this is our list from least excited to most hyped. Age of Sigmar Battleforce Boxes Ranked

Over on Warhammer Community, there’s going to be lots of great content this week, including the online Armies on Parade ceremony on Saturday the 26th. New goodies for Necromunda and the Horus Heresy will be revealed, while the Warhammer Live crew will be working on the Warcry: Sundered Fate and Warhammer Age of Sigmar Battleforce boxes on Hang Out and Paint . The flesh is weak, which is the perfect excuse to upgrade your MKVI Tactical Space Marines with a range of cold, hard, cog-toothed Iron Hands upgrades. So what do you get inside and how much would it cost you normally? I’ve also included the points for the troops as sold, but you can make small changes with the way some of the models are built. Daughters of Khaine Warhammer Community / Games Workshop Unit With Heroes, Battleline, and additional squiggy support, this Battleforce boxed set is an ideal way to start a full Gloomspite Gitz army, or add to an existing collection with Moonclan models that can be built in a variety of ways. The box includes 25 plastic miniatures for use in games of Warhammer Age of Sigmar, and will also save you money compared to buying the contents individually. This Sylvaneth Battleforce might actually be a contender for easiest to paint. You get Drycha Hamadrath stomping into battle alongside two Treelords (they can be the Spirit Of Durthu or a Treelord Ancient). There are also ten Spite-Revenants (Tree-Revenants) and sixteen Sylvaneth Dryads. Rush forward and drown your foes under an avalanche of spiked roots and rage. Tame a monster or two and add some spice to the battlefield with ferocious fauna – the Chaotic Beasts, Fomoroid Crusher, Mindstealer Sphiranx, and Ogroid Myrmidon are all being re-released. These creatures are all usable in both Warcry and Slaves to Darkness armies – the Ogroid Myrmidon in particular makes the perfect leader for your new Ogroid Theridons. Warcry Dice Finally, it’s not Christmas without the golden-clad warriors of the God-King! Start your own Dawnbringer Crusade with a Knight-Relictor , three heavily armed Annihilators , 10 Vanquishers , and 10 Vigilors armed with stormcaller bows. Finally, there’s a pair of swift and deadly Stormdrake Guards (one of which can alternately be built as a Knight-Draconis ). Break out the marshmallows – the Horns of Hashut are coming. This warband was first available in Warcry: Heart of Ghur and comprises 10 miniatures, including Ruinators, Demolishers – one of whom is armed with the deadly Flamehurler – and Shatterers. They’re also usable in Slaves to Darkness armies for Warhammer Age of Sigmar.** Rotmire Creed White Dwarf issues 320 and 321 get added to the Warhammer Vault this week – perfect reading with a hot beverage.

Thunderstrike Armour is the number-one fashion choice amongst the ranks of the Stormcast Eternals right now. This Battleforce contains 26 miniatures, all clad in dashing metal suits, including two mighty Stormdrake Guardon their draconith steeds.* Battleforce: Sylvaneth – Revenant Wargrove The Sylvaneth wage war against the enemies of nature, but none are so cruel in their hunts as the Outcasts. These spirits are commanded by the monstrous Drycha Hamadreth , who is joined by 28 other miniatures hungry for the blood of those who transgress against Alarielle. Curseling, Eye of Tzeentch It's always an excellent service with brilliant products at a very competitive price - will use again! What’s the most Christmassy sound? Jingle bells? Da Red Gobbo sneaking down the chimney? Nah, it’s a bunch of squigs all going booooooing! The Squiqalanche consists of a Loonboss on Giant Cave Squig , two Mangler Squigs (who can be ridden by Loonbosses ), 10 Squig Hoppers (who can be assembled as Boingrot Bounders), and a 12-strong Squig Herd . Don’t let their randomness fool you – there’s a LOT of gnashing teef in this army. Skaven: The Verminous HostOkay, now we’re making the turn. The Stampeding Squigalanche is a good core of an army and a great theme! You can take one look at this box and know exactly what you’re supposed to do and that involves SQUIGS. You get two big kits, a hero, a bunch of Squig knights, and a Squig herd. There’s a clear focus here and we like it. The new plastic Curseling was originally available in the Arcane Cataclysm boxed set, facing down the learned Lumineth. They arrive solo next week – or at least as solo as this mighty warrior-wizard can be, given the spell-slinging Tretchlet that sprouts from their side. Scinari Enlightener You can also start things out with a new army of the Kruelboyz. You get two big heroes here with Swampboss Skumdrekk and Gobsprakk, The Mouth Of Mork (also a Snatchaboss On Sludgeraker Beast and Killaboss on Corpse-rippa Vulcha). They lead an army of three Man-Skewer Boltboyz and ten Gutrippaz. This is a great mix of armies and options to choose from. For the most part, snagging any of these is a fantastic starting point for a new army or a great way to expand an existing one. For lots of these options you could simply get this box, maybe a Vanguard Box, and the Battletome and you’d basically have a 2000 point army ready to go. Just add water(…to your paints to thin them).
