What you need to know: Voice Caddie is a name that has really established itself in the GPS and rangefinder markets, with the SL2 Active Hybrid rangefinder crowned the best golf rangefinder of 2022. Here though, we are focusing on the A2 Golf GPS watch, a model which is seriously impressive as it mixes comfort, style and lots of features to give you one of the best GPS golf watches on the market. Hi Matt, I agree with Don, the manual is horrible, it only shows the highlight of some of the features, however, no details for all other features and options available for the T7; the user guide is very limited. The X5 is sleeker than the previous V3 and has a greater array of features that will enhance your strategy and understanding of your game. The touch screen has its moments, but this is a well thought-out product competitively priced for what it offers.

Gemma Dryburgh defends her title as 78 of the world’s best players compete at Taiheiyo Club Minori CourseA golf ball is just a golf ball, right? Wrong! In fact, that’s probably less true now than ever as all the main ball brands seek to cram as much all-round performance as possible into every model. All the major brands have been launching new versions of their premium models for the new season, along with a number of other newcomers and next-generation golf balls. However, before we get to the best golf balls on the market, what features should you look out for? At the top end of the market, it’s all about getting the multiple layers to work in harmony to generate the flight characteristics you want in the long game, like low spin and speed, without compromising feel and control in the short game. A sleek and stylish watch: Not only can this be worn on the golf course, but won’t look out of place off it

Voice Caddie T9 Golf GPS Watch Review | Golf Monthly

You want a watch that factors in slope gradients: Not many watches factor in slope in their distances but this one can! What you need to know: Garmin has been producing golf GPS watches for over 13 years now, since the launch of the Approach S1 in 2010. The S62 is yet another cutting-edge wearable that provides players with a variety of features that can assist their strategy, decision-making and club selection. First released in 2020, the S62 delivers a larger display than its predecessor, the Approach S60, while also promising a longer battery life, a Virtual Caddie and over 42,000 preloaded courses. You want a watch that is easy to charge: The connection on the charging system of this watch is a bit flimsy. I think we’re having a communication issue. The watch knows where you made your swing because it feels the movement. When you take your first step from that spot, it says “Shot: 1 Yard”. If you walk 100 yards, it will say, “Shot: 100 Yards.” If you hit the ball into the fairway, the measurement is just for you to know how far the shot went. Where I find value in it is when I don’t see my ball. If I know I hit driver and hit it well, I’m going to walk until the watch says, “Shot: 240 Yards” and then start looking. If I get to “Shot: 300 Yards,” I’ve gone too far. It narrows your search radius, and I’ve found that invaluable in finding drives. The good news is that the charger works very well. The watch magnetizes into place with a satisfying snap, and doesn’t feel cheap.

Set Up & Ease of Use

Screenwise, the graphics are basic but the layout is clear enough and, handily, there is a combination of the color touch screen and four corner buttons. You can use either, depending on your preference - for example, the right hand buttons double as up and down functions on certain menus, but you can swipe the screen up or down to achieve the same thing. I think where the heat map will be more useful to me is when we play Marshall Canyon or Palos Verdes where the greens are difficult due to the optical effect of the mountain side slope. If you have the Voice Caddie T8, the T9 is not a necessary upgrade unless you’re really into tempo training. For those without a GPS watch, the T9 is a great choice. It’s toward the higher end in terms of price, but few GPS golf watches deliver a better array of features. This GPS watch is a nightmare to figure out how to set & use it. So far I’m greatly disappointed. User manual is horrible. You’re looking for a great value golf watch: The GolfBuddy Aim W11 comes with plenty of features at a great price.
