IMPORTANT: My joined route was not saved between BaseCamp instances. I retested with the same result. On my third test I renamed the joined route before closing BaseCamp. That worked to maintain the joined route between BaseCamp sessions. Visual route planner: Plan a custom route on the device, or use the Tread® app with a compatible smartphone. Garmin zumo XT2 is preloaded with Garmin City Navigator NT maps for the UK, Ireland, Western and Eastern Europe provided by here. The pin was damaged from the start and was made worse with use. I did not look so carefully at the state of the pins when I got the unit. It is off course possible that these sensitive pins could catch on something and get damaged, e.g. the loop side of a Velcro tab on clothing(This is more a reinforcement of point 1 I think).

Built-in Wi-Fi connectivity makes it easy to keep the preloaded maps and software up to date without using a computer. Onscreen cues show when new updates are available. If you are generally happy with the fit, leave the helmet on for a good length of time to ensure it is not pressing in places that are not immediately apparant. If a helmet is really pressing on your forehead this can sometimes cause a headache over time so it may be worth trying another size or brand.
