PDF / EPUB File Name: Unfortunately_Yours_-_Tessa_Bailey.pdf, Unfortunately_Yours_-_Tessa_Bailey.epub This was an improvement over the first book but I never connected fully with anyone. The pacing was weird, there was too much going on and by the halfway mark I was ready for it to be over. But Natalie is desperate enough to propose to a man who makes her want to kill him--and kiss him, in equal measure.

The banter, the humor, the jokes! It was perfection! The absolutely hilarious one liners got me every time. Underneath all the humor though, August and Natalie are two people hardened by life on the outside but marshmallows on the inside. Their relationship works so well partly because they both can be brutally honest with each other and that they have an extreme sense of loyalty. It also helps that August is a literal Sex God 🤷🏼‍♀️ It was so beautiful to watch them drop their guards and fully dive into their “sham marriage”. After Secretly Yours, Natalie and August are “enemies” in that they can’t stop from throwing insults and jabs at one another every time they see each other. Underneath this facade, they’re both so attracted to one another and get off on getting the other riled up. When Natalie learns she can’t access her trust fund she needs to start her own finance startup unless she is married, insert ex-Navy Seal, August Cates. August can’t get a bank loan to save his friends winery dream, but with Natalie, a winery heiress, as his wife and partner, he just might be able to try to salvage his god-awful winery.

As much as enjoyed ‘Secretly, Yours’ book one in the Vine Mess series, the follow-up Unfortunately Yours* just blew me away. It’s so much fun, the chemistry is off the charts, the spice is perfection, and August… well, move over, Brendan; there’s a new favourite book boyfriend in town. Like Julian, August also knows exactly how to turn things up and you won't be disappointed. Mans is head over heels for her. Tho I still prefer Julian. I liked Natalie far better than Hallie. While Hallie was a bit annoying at times, Natalie is someone easy to like and understand. Tho she has a tendency to jump to conclusions without thinking. While Secretly, Yours didn’t hit the spot with me, this book made up for it in spades! Maybe it could of had a few more harsh details of being a navy SEAL, but in saying that, this was a fun, light hearted read, which that subject matter might of taken the light heartedness out…

But Natalie is desperate enough to propose to a man who makes her want to kill him-and kiss him, in equal measure. Natalie on the other hand was a strong women who didn’t need no man. And there’s nothing I love more (as I’ve said before) than a women who doesn’t need a man, but can bring one to their knees! The plot was great and interesting, the animosities between Natalie and August refreshingly relatable and honest and I at least was not able to not fall in love with them. ♡ Tell me the truth. You thought I would throw you into missionary, come in sixty seconds, and fall asleep. Didn't you?" Just so we’re clear, Natalie, I wouldn’t have any problem fending off some city boy in loafers.” Please tell me that my vaginal walls did not flex in response to that. literally what ?????There were soft/sad undertones in this book which was added and I loved the depth it gave to both the characters 🤧❤️‍🩹 But August isn't interested in anything halfway. He's wanted Natalie since the moment he first saw her and he's determined to make it work beyond just an arrangement. sometimes she looks sad, and I goad her into a fight just to get the kaleidoscope turning in her eyes again." the way this man will move mountains if it means seeing her smile- 🥹

The epilogue was perfection! I don't want to spoil it, but seriously, August made me melt all over again. He would do anything for his family! You're going to love it! August also works through some struggles. As a military man, he's not good at feeling helpless. He was there the day Sam died and has lived with guilt ever since. It was his job to protect Sam, and he failed. So the winery is a way for him to honor and atone, in a way. But August feels he needs to do this on his own and ends up shutting Natalie out, which further triggers her feelings of not being enough. Eventually, August realizes he made mistakes and makes it his mission to fix them. Watching him work through this was really lovely. This quote just about sums up his feelings: "As long as you need me, Natalie, I'm with you. Whatever you decide, whatever happens, I'm your goddamn man." A winery heiress and a new face on the Napa Valley scene enter into a marriage of convenience for the sake of future financial success. And so, the stage was set for Natalie's grand plan: to secure the funds for her new business idea and make use of her trust fund. The only catch? The strict condition that she must get married. Enter August Cates, a financially struggling winery owner with his own set of troubles. In a desperate bid to secure a bank loan and keep his dreams afloat, August agrees to Natalie's proposal, despite their history of clashes and public fights. Little did they know that their journey to their dreamy opportunities would blur the line between love and hate, revealing a connection that neither of them could resist. Perhaps this marriage wasn't just a convenient arrangement but a chance for them to discover that they were meant for each other all along, even amidst their initial animosity.Cut to my new favorite book by Tessa Bailey! This is a masterpiece. Like, no joke. I was reading it in the airport and could not stop myself from laughing out loud like a hyena and people thought I was deranged. Okay that might be dramatic as hell but I implore you to read these quotes and tell me I’m not wrong.. The way he would talk about her plsss it would make me shut the book and stare into space with this face 🥹🥹🥹🥹 (this was when he was being cute) and then like this when he was being HAWT ASF 🤭😋😮‍💨👹😩

Overall, I loved Unfortunately Yours and 100% recommend reading! It’s one of my favorite marriage of convenience stories along with King of Wrath by Ana Huang. The way this book rlly surprised me at every turn was exciting bc everything I was predicting about what would happen, didn’t happen and I loved that about this. Also, I still don't like Haille from Secretly Yours. She doesn’t play a big role, but she makes an appearance, but I found her character to still be annoying. At least it was consistent with Book 1.But Natalie is desperate enough to propose to a man who makes her want to kill him—and kiss him, in equal measure.
